This bill is veiled in the mask of helping at risk Gay Youth; yet in actuality it's about a political, pharmaceutical, psychiatric, and corporate attack on all youth. Please Read carefully between the lines & pick out all the hype before you jump on board up to your swinging neck in the governments well oiled Cool-Aid Dispensing Machine.
I would ask you don't get caught up in the use of terms like "Gay" in this political propaganda. That's just a ploy to draw in some attention by these big corporations, pharmaceutical pseudo advocacy shills, politicians ,and the main stream media masking their sponsored corporate drug marketing campaigns with some slick message/issue slight of hand.
Please take note that the ADVOCATE.com site is plastered with AstraZeneca's SeroquelXR ads all ready for those 12-17 year old at risk youth that don't need a parents consent to be drugged into a dangerous psychiatric stupor any longer.
Of course we know Arnold has a long history of selling out to huge corporate interest, as he was behind the laws that passed billions of dollars in pure profit to the workers compensation insurance industry, while leaving thousands upon thousands injured California Workers on a direct path to poverty and welfare without so much as reasonable care or due legal recourse.
This is just another stellar example of how both Democrats and Republicans are actually on the same sold out page when it comes to average citizens being sold to the highest corporate bidder.
Who do you think is really looking out for your child? Politicians, pharmaceutical corporations, a psychiatric medical industry that is addicted to the money and power that drugging your child brings them, or do you believe you should have a say and be informed about medical choices your child might make.
Maybe you'll want to read the government warning label first, since they don't give you full disclosure, or does contain any messages related to the deadly side effect profile this legislation brings with it.
Let's make this legislation carry the 'Pine Box" warning label before it's too late.

Arnold Signs Bill Aiding Gay Youths
In a move hailed by advocates for its impact on the lives of vulnerable gay youths, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Thursday signed a bill allowing minors ages 12 to 17 to access mental health services without parental consent.
Government and Corporate America telling you, they know better! Have you heard that before? How did it work out for you?
Authored by state senator Mark Leno, the Mental Health Services for At-Risk Youth Act allows youths to consent to treatment without parental notification — provided a mental health professional deems the individual to be "mature enough to participate intelligently in the services or when the youth would present a danger of serious physical or mental harm to self or others without the services."
Insert: and who do you suppose makes that call, apparently it's not the parent! I guess some drug toting mental health evaluator, psychiatrist, or some government bureaucrat? How's that working out for us as a society? Have you visited a lock down state run mental hospital unit lately? I didn't think so!
Passage of the legislation comes amid a wave of news reports in recent days on suicides of LGBTQ youths as a result of antigay bullying. Equality California executive director Geoff Kors called the legislation vital to "help young people get the care they need before they are in crisis."
Insert: Before there is a crisis!!! but I though it had to be a crisis to invoke non-parent involvement. So you want it both ways actually with the"preemption" clause -treatment before there is a problem, which we can presume are prescribed drugs the vast majority of the time-
"Just this week, four young people took their lives after experiencing antigay bullying and antigay bias," Kors said in a statement. "We must act now to provide youth, especially lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth, strong support systems, and this bill does just that."
Insert: This bill really doesn't do that but heck it's good business and sounds nice.
This bully incident information had to be slipped in here as it's used just like the fear mongering propaganda TAC approach does with forced medication laws.
"If they don't get treated they will die". I'm pretty sure you have heard that one at your local NAMI drug pusher before. I don't believe the Bully's are being targeted for treatment in this bill? Why is that you suppose?
Schwarzenegger signed a total of four bills sponsored by Equality California, the state's largest LGBT rights group, including repeal of a 1950s provision in the California Welfare and Institutions code that calls for research into "causes and cures of homosexuality."

One fact we know to be true and once was considered the standard practice Golden Rule of medicine; chemical restraint and intrusion into the brain and thoughts of another is the most intrusive form of restrain we can possibly employ. Chemical restraint should be used only as a very last resort in the most extreme and rare cases for very short duration.
This fact has obviously changed dramatically with influence of Big Pharma's push for profits, and psychiatry's never ending push for power at all cost.
This is without any doubt a gross violation of any prisoners constitutional rights, and their boarder global right to humane dignified care. This ranks right up there with the NAZI concentration camp inhuman & unauthorized experimentation upon human subjects.
This is how far out of touch we have become as a people, nation, and society; that we allow and even encourage human rights violations in the name of dangerously corrupted medicine, while turning a blind eye to the brutal and harsh reality of splintering and crumbling foundations of our moral, ethical, legal, and humane responsibilities as citizens. As with the evil practices of our history, this will surely came back to haunt us for many decades to come, or even lead us toward a just demise of our own hand and making.
Psych Meds In Jails
October 01, 2010 by John KellyA ground-breaking, year-long investigation by Youth Today has uncovered ample evidence that many youths incarcerated in American juvenile facilities are getting potent anti-psychotic drugs intended for bipolar or schizophrenic patients, even when they have not been diagnosed with either disorder.
The findings are derived from records of state juvenile systems that provided sufficiently detailed information on their use of these anti-psychotics – called “atypicals.” Only 16 states responded to a nationwide survey by Youth Today, meaning that a majority of states either would not or could not demonstrate that they were even monitoring the use of these medications on incarcerated juveniles.
The atypical anti-psychotics were being used to treat a wide variety of diagnoses, including intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder and even the more common attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder.
Critics believe most of these diagnoses are simply a cover for the fact that prisons now use drugs as a substitute for banned physical restraints that once were used on juveniles who aggressively acted out.
